I love when a painting just happens. No plan, no pressure…just picking up a brush and following the colour wherever it wants to go. Celebrate is one of those paintings and I think you can feel that when you look at it.

Bold teals and blues with warm pops of orange and gold all coming together against a soft light background that makes everything feel open and airy and full of possibility. The texture is one of my favourite things about this one. It builds and shifts across the canvas heavy and dimensional where the bouquet is most alive, soft and gentle in the quieter spaces around it.

That's exactly what I was feeling when I painted this.
